BTP panel members Bill Ramsden, Janice Morrison and Dave Cherry discuss some of the issues between Nelson City Council and the RDCK, and more.
The show was teched by David Beringer and Stephen Fowler.

It was agreed that so far this was the best BTP show of 2005.

This week, host Marianne Bonnd (who is a former Economic Development Officer herself) interviews former Economic Development Officer Joanna Maratta about the recent history of economic development in the Nelson area.

Following that she speaks with Area F Director, Al Dawson and Councillor Ian Mason about the recent parting of the ways in economic development between the City and Areas E and F.
Finally, the panel is formed of Bill Ramsden and Dave Cherry Joanna Maratta and Marianne as host/panelist. They too focus mainly on
Economic Development, the history and future.

This week, host David Beringer speaks with Gary Wright, the mayor of New Denver, about regional health care issues and the New Denver experience. The interview also touches on environmental issues and the role of the Chair of the RDCK - who will be chosen at the RDCK Board Meeting Dec. 11th.

David Bracewell steps into the host's chair to interview Robin Cherbo
and Ralph Elliott, both of Save our Services in Nelson. He gets an
update on the on-going emergency room watch at Kootenay Lake Hospital.
For 12 hours a day, 7 days a week, SOS volunteers continue to observe
and record the activities at the emergency room. Proposed plans to
renovate at the hospital are discussed, as well as solutions for
restoring adequate services in a central location (possibly Castlegar).

Finally, the panel of Bill Ramsden, Marianne Bond, and Dave Cherry
discuss the Economic Development Office's history and future, RDCK-City relations and meaningful community input on a range of topics.
